Look closely at all the details.

Notice all those “radio stations” that have been hardwired into your unique child.

Take time to get to know your baby, just as you would a new friend.

  • Snuggle up and admire just how beautiful I am.  Notice the cozy feeling of my little body in your arms.  Breathe in my scent.  Look into my eyes.  Feel my soft skin.  Rub my back as you rock me. When you touch and hold me, connections develop in my brain.    
  • Let me use all of my senses as much as I can! Keep in mind that I am especially visual. I want to see you, hear you (with my hearing aids or cochlear implant), touch you, and smell you. Sometimes I’ll even try to taste you!  The more senses I engage, the better I learn.
